Good evening,
I have been asked several times what does it take to be successful, what should an entrepreneur do to get their business off the ground. I have been asked how to you effectively market your business. Here are a few steps to success that can be execute right away.
1: The first step to success, is to add value to the world, by mastering a skill that you are passionate about. (over time and as you progress,mastering multi-tasking will occur).
How do you "master" a skill? Well you will know you have mastered a skill when you are confident and will be able to effectively teach others to do the same. I know I had master a skill when I could recite the steps to be successful in my sleep. Practice makes perfect;work on your craft daily.
Choices are important and exploring your choice is equally as important to discover your niche. Have fun with the process, but discern when you have a natural talent for a particular skill set. Then make decision to strive for skill mastery. Remember to select the skill that interests you most, and that fits your personality type...
Here are a few ideas to begin with, remember to be creative and think outside of the box. Remember your market, product, and consider what would make you interest in what you do. What appeals to you about your business, what excites you, then you can share it with other via these methods listed below to position yourself as an expert.
* senimars/workshops/Private Business Receptions
* websites
* Social networking (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
* Video marketing
* Blogging
2: Next, take a disciplined accounting of where you spend your time each day. Be honest with yourself, most businesses work, but it may be that the you do not work for the business. If you do not wake up excited and happy to work your business, it's probably not your passion.
* How much time do you spend on your business total? Do you have a schedule? Do you have balance, family, business, personal time, etc?
* How do you allocate your time on each specific activity like email, social media, writing ads, creating marketing pieces, calling your prospects, or attending training.
* Here is your call to action, create a daily log of your activity each day this week. Begin Today, do not put this off, this is how you hold yourself accountable for your success or failure. Remember, most of us have been an employee, it can be difficult to change your mindset to one of a business owner. You now find yourself dictating your schedule and thinking this much harder that it seems, and we all get side tracked sometimes, so be honest with yourself, so you can improve.
Remember to select a day to review your activity and keep this appointment with your business weekly, Go ahead put it on your calendar now!
Now that the activity is on your calendar, it's review to evaluate the activities for the week, now ask yourself this question... "Are these activities directly responsible for putting money in my pocket?" If not then they are energy draining and money deterrents, and you want money to flow easily and frequently to your hands.
3. Remember to develop a resilient mindset, whatever your think about will be. Think positively. Be the person you admire in business, constantly work on you and get the best out of yourself.
These are extremely crucial exercises, so don't just read this and set it aside. Do not delay your success,take action and begin today; use excel, your smart phone or another program, hold yourself accountable today and manage your time or it will manage you...
