Imagine yourself living the lifestyle that you relish deep in your soul. See yourself living in that life. Close your eyes and imagine what that life looks like, what it feels like, imagine yourself their right now. I challenge myself and you as of today to begin to shift our mindset and feel that feeling now in expectance of what is coming. We must be excited about the possibilities of ourselves. We must fall in love with our vision, our dreams, and our goals. What I have found out is that the average person is afraid to feel, we numb ourselves because of past hurts, pains, and disappointments to the point that we no longer feel. However what I have discovered, when we allow our minds to venture into this dark place mentally a part of us dies. I ask today are we dead or alive? If we are alive then we must feed your zest.
So, what is zest?
Zest is your spirit, it feeling like you’re on top of the world, it's that feeling one gets when they are at your best, it is our swagger, it is our drive, and it is the heartbeat of our visions.
To feed your zest there are three main things you must begin now:
1. Spirituality: Get in tune with your inner self, read the bible, or other spiritual material of your choice. Mediate and begin to channel only positive thoughts into your mind. Eliminate all negative self talk immediately. This is important because we all need a foundation to believe in, we must stay prayed up, please forgive me and do not take it personal if you are not a believer, but spirituality is huge. Think of all the successful people who give speeches, did you notice they always include a thank you to some higher being so go figure? You want success right? So copy what success people do. It's a no brainier.
2. Check yourself (how you treat people and how you act): this important because I have found I attract people who are like me in some shape or fashion. Therefore, if I think my network of associates' attitudes are awful, fake or phony and I look at my circle of friends and find that they are the same way too. Then, I should definitely check myself for similar traits. If I identify any of those traits in myself I need to commit immediately to improving and working on them. I have found every now and again we have to survey ourselves to see how we act, especially in our quiet time and space. Most times we are all functioning with our representatives present; it's that other person that you are when no one is looking that you have to get in order.
3. Make some Money: Now some people are going to say money does not solve anything, more money more problems, or money is the root of all evil, I say most people who make these comments are not making money. They are waking up going to a job they hate, they are always saying they are broke, they are fake it until you make it type of people. These type of people are quick to tell you what’s going to work, or what you can not do, and basically want you to stay stuck in your situation because that what they have done. I have found out that these individuals really do not want to do the work it takes to be successful. They will not entertain experiencing the emotional roller coaster ride that it takes to make significant income. When you have money your problems are different they do not disappear, however money is no longer an issue. Ponder this question, what you would prefer problems and being broke or problems with wealth? Be honest how many times have you taken advice from someone more mess up than you? Now think how many times have you taken money advice from someone who has none? Most broke people are miserable and go around spreading their negative opinions on others. Did you know when you take someone advice you buy into their mindset, so who are you listening to? Most wealthy people are unhappy for the opposite reason; did you know it's lonely at the top, when all your friends are broke, begging, or jealous of your success it causes successful people to feel alone on Desert Island. Do you know that most people value themselves base on the amount they earn? They even pray for things base on the income levels, think about what you pray for now, would your prayers change if you earned more money? Think about it when money is not an option, people behave differently; walk differently, because they have choices. The average person does not strive for much. Most successful people has always known they would be success, their vision was big, they spoke about it all time, they practice, they imagine themselves being there, and most times people thought they were crazy, delusion, self absorbed, or told them to give up that ridiculous dream it will never happen but some how they push through and never bought into the nay sayers, so again who are you listening to? Think about the most successful person you know, consider Michael Jordan, Oprah, Will Smith, Obama, and the list goes on.
Do you know they all had failures and disappointments on their way to success?
What makes you think it's going to be any different for us?
But what I have found out if we do not feed our zest, then we will never get to the to the other side of our dream and goals:success.
