Commitments and Affirmations

I have found the key to success is the power of positive thinking. Your brain is like soil whatever you plant will grow. However, the irony of this scenario stems from what you plant. Your brain like soil does not care what you plant so be cautious as to what you read, watch, and whom you listen to. I was told when you listen to someones' opinion you ultimately buy into their mindset and their lifestyle, so who are you listening to? This idea leads me to today's topic of commitments and affirmations.
I began to place positive affirmations in the form of sticky notes in my bathroom, on the back of my bedroom door, and my refrigerator several years ago. The purpose was to remind myself daily what I wanted and what I was grateful for in my life. I selected bright and cheerful colors. These notes have inspired me and they keep me on track, when I feel off balance they center my focus on what really matters to me. I also created to do lists, goals boards, and vision boards that are placed strategically in my home. All of these tactics are my tools to a balance life. The power of visualization is amazing. Everything you think about you attract. You are whom you think you are!
For example,I wanted to become a better listener, so one my notes state I am a great listener, and guess what I listen more today and I focus on talking less. I also have images of all the material items I want to attract. Think back to when you were a child and you would keep wishing, praying, and hoping for that special item you wanted and I do not know about you but when I did this, some how and some way it manifested. I made a commitment to do what ever it took to change my mindset, to overcome the opinions of negative people, to reprogram my mind, and delete some baggage of my life plate. I believed that I must be better and only when I get better will I attract better people, situations, and attitudes into my life. Guess what it worked and is working, you have to start with you today. Commitment to personal development now and your situation will change almost instantly.

As we grow older, I believe we stop dreaming and life beats us up. Our child like attitude of wishing, hoping and dreaming diminishes. I challenge you to write out your dreams, goals, and aspirations and place them in your home today. Allow yourself to explore the possibilities, if you are still alive you have an opportunity to have a do over every time you wake up in the morning.
One Disclaimer: ( some of your family and friends may think you lost your mind when you begin places these notes and visions boards in your home, don't be alarmed because it happened to me, but now those same people who laughed at me, love reading my power notes, and they too are inspired and empowered.)

Some one I admire inspired this affirmation and I love it dearly, say this out loud daily and go conquer the world and live your best life now!

I am powerful. I am focused. I a driven. I must live my best life today.
I am powerful. I am significant. When I speak people listen because I have something valuable to say. I am a winner. Today I am prepared to intentionally achieve my dreams and goals. Today I stand for me!

Now hug yourself and say I love me some me, and now let's go out and make it happen!
